It is one of about 20 typical Hessian restaurants in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen. These restaurants are more or less only frequented by tourists but despite that you can still have a good impression of the light and colorful Hessian cuisine.
Meat, especially pork, is an integral part of almost all dishes. Served with sauerkraut, mashed potatoes or – in the wintertime – with Rotkraut (red cabbage).
The perfect happy end for your dinner should not be mousse au chocolat, ice-cream or pudding that would make every stomach explode: go for a good old malteser, korn or kümmerling (different schnapps types).
One thing that I personally like in these so called “Sachsenhausen-restaurants” is that you can get in touch with your neighboring tables very easily. For some people it is the first time that they see nearly a half pork on their plates and you can its funny to see fear on their faces and the first comment is: “Oh my god….how can I…”
