You have probably realised from my previous articles that I have a thing for spotting different events on specific days of the week. Chez Ima is always a good choice for coffee, lunch, dinner and particularly for their breakfast on Sunday mornings.
Chez Ima is located in the 25hours Hotel Frankfurt by Levi’s and as the name reveals denim is particularly important in this place! To your surprise, you’ll find that the restaurant is hidden in the lobby of the Levi’s hotel close to the central train station. The dining hall, facing the open kitchen, is small and cozy while the setup is industrial and pop. The crowd is hipsterish, young and uncomplicated. Check their website for special events that take place very often! When the weather is nice, check for their rooftop parties.
The food is international with a strong focus on oriental kitchen. The menu includes hummus, falafel and fatoush (their mix plate is really mouth-watering). For those less into experimentation, their all-time classic burger and schnitzel is also available. One of the highlights at Chez Ima is the brunch that takes place once a month, including also popular oriental dishes! That said, booking in advance is essential as their events are very popular among Frankfurters.
