Guck Mal Wer Da Kocht – Look who’s cooking!

Since mid-February 2018 Frankfurt has a new and very exciting pop-up restaurant, so of course I had to go and try it right away. It’s located in central down town, directly next to Parkhaus Börse in a quiet side street.

The concept is promising and will make you come back again and again, either, simply because you love the food or because you’re curious to see what’s new.

The entire kitchen crew changes every two weeks (!), moving on to an every time new cuisine, style and of course cook from either already existing restaurants or from newcomers wanting to try a new concept and menu. 

I really enjoyed the Peruvian ceviche cuisine crew from a restaurant in Bonn that took over “Guck mal wer da kocht” for the first two weeks and I went twice for lunch and dinner in their opening phase. The crew then changed to Hawaiian street-food in “Poke Style” which comes in pots with fish and fresh ingredients, and the upcoming “Vegetable Cowboys” coming next sound great already, just by the name.

The concept is an easy self-ordering, self-seating system in the rather small, narrow but two-floored building and the price has been reasonable and affordable (under 10,- EUR for the main dishes) so far. I’m curious to go see what’s next.
