From the narrow cobblestone streets of Frankfurt’s Gutleute district, the L’Osteria brings you the taste of Italy. One of my favorite pizza places in the city, it not only offers delicious food, but also a marvelous view of the area’s modern architecture. Especially the nearby Westhafen Tower (check out the Westhafen Tower article), designed as an homage to Frankfurt’s favorite drink, represents the unique combination of progress and tradition Frankfurt has made its own.
The same goes for the L’Osteria, serving traditional Italian style food, in a modern and appealing design. When ordering one of their delicious pizzas, you can choose to share it with your date, since not many people will finish a whole one. They even let you choose two different toppings, and will serve it on separate plates. The open kitchen allows you to watch the chefs work their magic, while you can relax with a glass of Italian wine.
Although I would always recommend the pizza, they also make great pasta, salads, and antipasti. And what would an Italian restaurant be without homemade tiramisu? Weekly specials offer the chance to divert from the standard menu. The large tables close to the bar make L’Osteria suitable for a get-together with friends, but you can also come here for a romantic dinner for two. Whatever you do, make sure to try the pizza!
