Museumsufer – Not only for art fans

At the riverside of the Main near the city center, the so-called Museumsufer (or museum banks), is like paradise for anyone who enjoys art exhibitions. Impressive collections, like the one hosted by the Städel or the sculptures of Liebighaus, neighbor small and temporary exhibitions like the ones of Schirn or Museum Giersch.

But not only art enthusiasts will be intrigued by the great variety the Museumsufer has to offer: the Film Museum allows you a closer look into the history of the moving picture, and in the Architecture Museum one can marvel at the most impressive buildings from all around the world. There is something for almost everyone.

However, the real deal is this: with the Museumsufer Card, you can visit all of these museums as many times as you want, for a whole year – a must-have for every local, or those who would like to feel like one. If you are working during the day, you can still catch the after-work tours or just drop by for a drink. And just when you think you’ve seen it all: at least once a year, the Night of the Museums allows you to experience the exhibitions in a whole new way, when all of them stay open until 04:00, with special events going on all over the city.
