Schöneberger Gasthaus – Tradition meets 2016

You can find Schöneberger in one of the most popular residential areas of Frankfurt, Bornheim. Most of the people who live there would never move to another part of the city, and I think I know why… Because there is always a new place opening up to discover, for coffee or tea, for lunch or dinner. And Schöneberger is definitely an all time classic.

I really hesitate to call Schöneberger a ‘Kneipe’ (traditional German pub), since the atmosphere is quite modern and young. But at Schöneberger you can taste some of the most traditional Frankfurter dishes such as Flammkuchen (tarte flambé) or the traditional Grüne Soße (green sauce, made out of seven different herbs served with eggs and potatoes). We always enjoy sharing their big dishes with friends!

Schöneberger is well visited every day and I personally have been very lucky without making reservations! I enjoy going there with friends for dinner; besides,  I think it is an ideal choice for bigger heteroclite companies as the environment is relaxed and loud and there is a dish suitable for everyone on the menu. Do not miss their dessert, the ‘Kaiserschmarrn’…
