The area around Frankfurt’s main train station is not exactly famous for trendy restaurants or healthy food. What the Food is one of a few exceptions to this rule. Opening its doors right on the corner of Kaiserstrasse, the stylish design of the restaurant perfectly matches the menu, which is also displayed on the wall behind the counter.
With creative and exciting dishes, it is a great place for lunch or dinner. But they also offer small treats, fresh smoothies and coffee, as well as healthy breakfast options, like granola with fruit and yogurt, sandwiches, or omelet.
Although they cook with fresh and healthy ingredients, What the Food is mostly about quality, taste and creativity. By cleverly combining authentic flavours in new ways, the two owners have truly made their contribution to Frankfurt’s food scene.
When coming here, I like to try different things, like their chicken on mashed sweet potatoes or the ginger carrot soup with fresh bread. Maybe you should just come and find out for yourself!
