When I first moved to Geneva le Cabinet was one of the first bars I went to have a beer. Me and my girlfriend decided to go there because we didn’t really know any bars in the city and she’d see this one everyday on her way to work… When we got there it was one of the funniest nights I ever had in Geneva, as it turned from a calm friday after work beer to a concert with a guy and his guitar sitting on a barstool on top of the bar and all the people going really crazy! Ever since le Cabinet stayed one of my favorite places in Geneva, you never know what’s going to happen.
Le Cabinet is nice and calm during the day and you can have snacks and tapas. They serve snacks all day long and soups, quiches, salads and pasta for 13 francs at lunch-time.
However, usually on weekends they have parties and concerts. It can make quite a change from its usually calm dayface to a rather frisky and loud nightface! Style goes from Hardcore and Punk over Post-Rock to Electro to HipHop… Risk the surprise or check the program online.
The bar’s name refers to its decor… You’ll see when you’re there.
