Luckily for my sweet tooth (and soon, yours as well), a pair of Genevans took the plunge and started their own bespoke candy store and manufacture! “Couka Poupa,” as well as being a cute and memorable name, is also the joining of the founders’ nicknames! Audrey and Daniela (Couka and Poupa) started their artisanal bonbon shop in the Grottes area to satisfy not just their own love for sweets, but those of everyone else.
Best part? Go and watch Couka and Poupa make their delectable treats Tuesdays and Fridays as of 15:00. It’s oddly hypnotic and satisfying to watch them toss, pull, knead, press, and chop the sugar-based treats…
In fact, I can almost guarantee you’ll be unable to leave without buying a jar of their candies.
Oh, did I mention that they will can also make personalised candies, lollipops, and other confections?
