Da Paolo – A local pizza institution

While it may not be obvious at the outset, Geneva is a haven for pizza lovers! It seems like every area with restaurants has at least one pizzeria just around the corner…

Open 7 days a week, and only closed one day a year, Da Paolo is a local institution, serving pizzas from its wood-burning oven for over 30 years in the Eaux-Vives area of Geneva. Some (myself included) consider it one of the best pizzerias in Geneva, even rivaling the best pies out of Naples! A varied menu will definitely satisfy even the pickiest of eaters, and with friendly service; this is a terrific people-watching spot, too.

Of course they also serve a wide variety of other Italian fare, of which I strongly suggest the snails. Why? because that’s where I first had them when I was 10 years old, and I keep going back for more!

A warning though: this delicious destination is first come, first serve – no reservations! Da Paolo can get packed, so try to hit it at odd dining hours. Anyone up for a 15:00 margherita?
