Delphine Rieder

About me:
I was born in Geneva and, after spending seven years abroad, I decided to come back here to go to college to study literature and art history. And now I am, in my last year of my Master, trying to find my way in this not so big city.

Why Geneva?
I could have been in Paris which was my dream a few years ago, but Geneva is my port of call, and somehow, I had to come back here. I love to live here, even if a lot of my friends disagree. It is so nice to have so many parks, the lake, which you can enjoy during the summer, and mountains nearby. I try to discover a different side of Geneva, whenever I can, and I think by recreating it, I can perceive something new and exciting about it.

I love to meet new people, and as Geneva is a cosmopolitan city, it’s quite easy to meet someone who’s from a different country. I love to discover places I’ve never seen or heard of without expecting it and, before leaving to explore other countries I’m dreaming to see, I’m trying to know my own city as deep as I can.

Check out my favorite spots!

Chez Ma Cousine – Very cheap chicken!

La Mamounia – A sense of Morocco

Les Scalas – An independent cinema

Le Mortimer – A small sight of Paris
