Want to survive a winter day out in Geneva: it is all about chestnuts. Chestnuts were all over the ground in the Parc des Bastions a few months ago but even if it’s too late for that, you can still crush the grilled chestnuts’ shells – that sound, it’s perfect ! – and that smell that famous scent all over the city. I’m personally not fond of the chestnuts’ taste, but I do like the way they smell – I’m quite complicated with food. That said, I can tell by the number of people eating some, that it might be quite appreciable. And they’re hot, the perfect thing for a rainy, windy, cold shopping afternoon. You’ll find stalls quite everywhere, just look for the huts! Details about this spot (Show on map)
