I guess you can safely say that Inglewood is now a classic Geneva institution. It was the first burger joint to open in Geneva, back in 2011. The success was immediate. Affordable, delicious, locally sourced burgers, what’s not to like?
The atmosphere is young, loud and fun. Skateboards hang on the walls. It has a laid-back California surfer vibe. It is the success story of two brothers that quit everything and made it big in the Swiss gourmet burger industry.
They do not accept reservations so you better come early either at lunch or at dinner to avoid waiting for hours to be seated. But make no mistake; the burgers are worth the wait. Plus, the service is super friendly and you can sip on a local handcrafted beer that they have on tap to help you support the wait. I am a classic girl; I like the rather simple “Pasadena” with cheddar, salad, tomato, onion and their secret sauce for 15,90 CHF. All their burgers come with old school fries and a side of salad.
Since their first restaurant in Plainpalais, they’ve opened two more, one in Eaux-Vives and one more recently in Lausanne. I heard some rumors that a fourth one is on the way. Inglewood is on a roll!
In my opinion, Inglewood is hands-down the best burgers in town. However, they do have another very serious competitor that you can check out in Paquis and Plainpalais: The Hamburger Foundation.
