Le Relais de l’Entrecôte is a world famous restaurant serving one single menu: small entrée salad, entrecote (rib steak) with herb & butter sauce & homemade fries. They are now global, but for a long time the only place you could enjoy this very special sauce was Geneva and Paris. The sauce was invented by Paul Ginestre, in Paris and afterwards they opened a restaurant in Geneva. The concept has stayed the same since 1959 when the first restaurant was opened.
I love coming here because the meat is delicious and the fries are amazing! Before coming here you have to be sure you (1) like red meat; there are no other options on the menu, (2) you are hungry, because they serve two portions of meat and fries and (3) you are willing to pay up for a good piece of meat.
The service is ultra fast; so if you only have 30 min to eat, go for it. They accept no reservations, and sometimes you have to queue, but normally you don’t have to wait more than 15 min. I hope you enjoy this restaurant!
