About me:
I grew up in a small village in the German speaking part of Switzerland and came to Geneva when I was 19, basically just for a year in order to improve my French. Life is unpredictable and in the meantime I have spent half of my life in this small but interesting city.
I have been travelling extensively over the past ten years and although I am not sure anymore if Geneva is my “home”, it is certainly my base and, most importantly, my comfort zone. After several weeks or months abroad, I appreciate coming back to my cosy flat and I obviously look forward to seeing my friends again!
At the moment, I am here a bit more often, trying to combine studies, work and (most of all) travelling.
Why Geneva?
- A truly international and multicultural place and a melting pot of about 183 nationalities
- A small, compact city where I can find all the commodities and walk or cycle to most places
- A good, reasonably priced public transport system – no car needed!
- A small but international airport with several low-cost airlines, making it easy to escape and discover Europe
- A calm and mostly safe city (at least to my standards!)
