What screams “Swiss Experience” more than chocolate? In large quantities?
I’m with you. As a stereotypical Swiss person, I love chocolate in all shapes and sizes, and have a particular fascination for well-crafted gourmandises.
To satisfy taste buds and curiosity, enter Chocolaterie Stettler. Founded in 1947, it’s now 70 years that this artisanal chocolate shop has been part of the story of Geneva. And what a story! Around every corner in the center of town you can find different local chocolate confectioneries, but Stettler is unique: you can actually visit their Geneva factory and make your own delightful treat! And, of course, my favourite part: eat some!
It’s not on the cheap side, but I do suggest to try the “Formule Workshop,” where you experience not only the history of Geneva chocolate, but you get to MAKE YOUR OWN CHOCOLATE BAR. Yeah. I get excited thinking about it. If making it yourself isn’t your cup of hot cocoa, there is also the “standard” format, where you get the visit, the history, and a tasting.
Grab some friends and make it an adventure! Chocoholics won’t be disappointed. Nor anyone else, really.
