123-Piano – Share your musical talent

The first notes of the childrens song Frère Jacques is the only thing I can play on the piano. Making music isn’t my talent, but I can enjoy a beautiful piece of piano music. If you can play the piano and you are in desperate need of an audience, untill September 23rd you should try the event 123-Piano.

How does it work? On 6 different locations in the city you can find a piano. The City Pavilion, Huis van Alijn, De Krook (check the Krook article) for example. You can play anything you want, the audience will come naturally. But also if you’re not blessed with musical talent it’s worth the visit.

Last year I saw a lot of pianists who gave me goosebumps. A 6 year old girl or a 85 year old man, who was clearly enjoying his 5 minutes of fame, both gave me a moment of joy. Music is the most fun spontaneously outside a concert hall.

123-piano is also about art. The 6 pianos are taken to task by 6 artists. Sarah Yu Zeebroek and Lectrr are a few of them. So they aren’t only nice to listen to, but also to see. All the information about locations and artist you can find on the website.

If you’re willing to play the piano, I will enjoy your performance from the audience. Share it on social media with the hashtag #123piano and maybe you’ll get discovered.
