As a student in Ghent a long time ago now, we all did our grocery shopping at the little corner supermarket called Superette Edwin. The perfect place to find our -not always so superhealthy- food and drinks to survive the week and help us get through the exam period. This happened many many years ago and now I’m quite happy to be able to go back to this place but for a more healthy reason!
Our well-known Flemish Foodie Kobe Desramaults reopened this place as a bakery/lunch/diner spot. Not your ordinary bakery, but one where you can find yeast bread coming straight from the oven. Or you can pass by to enjoy a lovely lunch or dinner, served with a portion of warm and freshly baked bread. Of course. I especially like their red beet salad or homemade omelette;-)
The atmosphere is rather casual: reservations cannot be made so you may just have to wait a bit. Also the interior design is quite cosy and has that certain ‘living room’ feel to it.
Definitely a place worth visiting!
