If you want a fancier dinner, Pakhuis is a brasserie you should definitely try. ‘Pakhuis’ means warehouse and that’s exactly where it is located. The warehouse was built in the 18th century
They serve mostly Belgian food with some French and Italian accents. Their specialty is oysters and seafood. The options are very large, consisting of meat and fish dishes, but vegetarian meals are available as well. Those veggies come from their own garden where they cultivate their ingredients. The experience is high level and unique.
The place is an architectural pearl and like I said it is located in a warehouse. It’s very large and luminous with some magnificent details, the biggest being the bar. The industrial style is combined with some warm elements.
It is located in the neighborhood Patershol, just in the city center, which has the same charm. They have lunch menus as well for a very reasonable price (16 euros for starter and main dish) if you want to save some money or prefer to go at noon.
