About me
I am an artist and illustrator and have lived in Glasgow since 1990 when I graduated from Art School in Bath. I came here and worked as a volunteer with young homeless people. I very quickly fell in love with the city, the beauty of the rest of the country and the people living here. Eventually I got full time work and worked in the Homeless sector for 24 years, whilst selling my artwork part time in local galleries and art markets.

In 2014 I decided to take the plunge and quit my job and become a full time artist and illustrator. I sell work in a local gallery as well as online, illustration work and commissions.

Last year my wife and I got a dog and this has opened a whole new world in Glasgow I previously didn’t notice. It means I walk for hours each day, meet new people all the time and get to hang out in cool places… and now get to write about them!

Why Glasgow?
When I first came to Glasgow I didn’t know what to expect, and was filled with a little bit of fear and trepidation. Very quickly I experienced just how friendly, open and welcoming the people here are and started to fall in love with the city rapidly.

The biggest thing about Glasgow and Glaswegians is the sense of humour, sometimes wicked, sometimes self-deprecating but always warm. It’s a city that constantly makes me laugh!
