Are you a true bookworm? Is your ideal Saturday night spent amongst like-minded people discussing your favourite author’s latest novel? If you answered yes to these questions, consider this blog post a bit of a warning sign.
Hillhead Bookclub has quite a misleading name, and although this spot is an amazing place to be on a Saturday night, I cannot guarantee that you will find someone to reflect on the greater meaning of Robinson Crusoe’s journey with. On the other hand, you might find someone looking to discuss which cocktail is the tastiest on the drinks menu, or perhaps how good vibes tonight’s DJ set is giving you. Allow me to emphasize that this spot is miles away from being a low key book club.
Hillhead Bookclub is great pub in the West end, and is a popular choice for a drink amongst Glaswegians. This is a spacious two-storey venue with vintage furniture, and a lovely, engraved, wooden ceiling. Hillhead Bookclub is best known for its flavoursome cocktails, but also serves excellent food from early morning to late at night. The best part is that you do not even have to make a choice between the two – just opt for a few special made brunch cocktails and a morning buzz! Oh, and remember to have a game of ping pong on the second floor!
