“Fatte ‘na pizza c’a pummarola ‘ncoppa, vedrai che il mondo ti sorriderà”
“Make yourself a pizza topped with tomato sauce, you’ll see that the world will smile at you”
This is the motto of what I believe is the best pizza place in Glasgow, and I guarantee that whether you order a simple marinara or the spiciest combo, you will definitely feel the taste of the real Neapolitan pizza.
But how do they make it so good? Well, the secret lies in the ingredients. First of all, at Mozza the flour used for the dough comes straight from an old and specialised mill in central Italy. And all fresh tomatoes, tomato sauce, Fior di Latte mozzarella and Friarielli broccoli (a must-try delight) come from Campania, the region where the traditional Neapolitan pizza was invented.
Now, if you want to find out what the last, and the most important secret is, you simply have to walk inside the restaurant: you’ll see the enormous wood-fired oven right in front of the entrance, always tempting the customers with the irresistible smell of freshly baked dough.
If you are still unsure whether Mozza is the right place for you, I’ll add one last fact: the restaurant offers 13 different types of pizza, half of them I have never seen anywhere else in the UK. Really worth a slice!
