It is a pretty bold statement to make however, being the self confessed coffee addict that I am, I get around the coffee shops in Glasgow. It was all the buzz when Grain and Grind (previously known as Southside Roasters) opened in the southside. Independent coffee shops are not hard to come by in Glasgow but they are scarce over this side of the city.

It was an immediate hit as they had got the style and vibe just right to compliment the surrounding area. It is edgy without trying too hard and most importantly the coffee is GOOD. I mean really good.

Grain and Grind also offer a satisfying menu, with enough options to fulfill your brunching needs. I would definitely recommend trying some of their tasty cakes, I have a particular soft spot for the brownies. Grain and Grind is a cute place for a catchup or to have a little alone time.

On a side note, they have done so well that they have opened up a second venue in the southside! Clearly they are doing something right.
