If you want some quality Scottish cuisine in a friendly environment, you should consider dropping into Ingram Wynd, one of the first in a great stretch of restaurants you’ll arrive at on Ingram Street when coming down from the High Street. It fits right into its Merchant City surroundings with a Victorian decor mixed with a touch of modern Scottish style.
Until recently, I had only ever visited in the Autumn and Winter months, and always enjoyed the cosy, traditional atmosphere, as well as a menu that was right up my street with options such as the fantastic chicken and black pudding roulade. However, when returning a few weeks ago for some July after-work drinks, I discovered that there is a weekend beer garden and BBQ on the outdoor terrace. Another great reason to pay a visit.
I’ve always found the food excellent, and the menus all have a great selection to choose from. Two courses on the pre theatre menu will cost £ 12.95 and options include a dish of the day, as well as a catch of the day for those who enjoy their dinner with a touch of the maritime.
