Taste Buchanan – Glasgow’s street food market

On the top floor of Buchanan Galleries, you will find a street food market called Taste Buchanan. Being fairly new to Glasgow, this market gives independent Scottish food traders the opportunity to reach out to hungry locals. I am one of those, and to the great pleasure of my taste buds, I have taken advantage of Taste Buchanan’s delicious variety. The street food market has a limited number of stalls, and new traders are invited to take over one of the small kitchens every other month. Taste Buchanan makes it easy to support independent Scottish businesses. If you are feeling a little peckish, I highly recommend stopping by for some tasty street food.

Some of my recent lunches have consisted of deep fried prawn toasts, miso soups and spicy beef burritos. But, unfortunately, being a regular at Taste Buchanan has its downsides. As a dedicated foodie, turning a blind eye to the fact that all stalls are there on borrowed time, has consequences. I have experienced what feels like several cold-hearted breakups. There have been tears. My personal advice to you: indulge while it lasts! I know I will…
