The Big Blue – Dine on the banks of the Kelvin

Great value bar/restaurant on the banks of the River Kelvin. Staff are very friendly and there’s loads of space at tables in the bright restaurant area.

The food served is mainly Italian and you’ll pay just £5 for a delicious pizza here. There’s also a good selection of pasta dishes (try the Spaghetti Salsiccia) and salads. They also do slightly more expensive meat and fish meals. The lunch menu is cheaper than the á la carte menu available in the evenings, although there’s a bigger selection of dishes on the á la carte.

Follow your meal with a drink in the bar where there’s a good range of wines and beers (the cocktails are pretty good too). If it’s sunny, you can eat and drink on the tables outside overlooking the river. Free wifi is available.
