As the name suggests, this lovely tea room is located at the end of a very, very hidden lane in the West End of Glasgow. But fear not – the place is actually quite easy to find thanks to a big white sign that you can see from the main road.
Before getting inside, take some time to admire the colourful buildings on the lane. Here you will find my favourite (and probably the only) sewing shop in town, whose owner, Jenny, organises sewing classes for all ages.
But on to the Tea Room now! This incredible place serves all kinds of homemade cakes and pastries, together with four different flavours of scones, which you can have with a delicious combo of freshly made clotted cream and strawberry preserve. And for the ones who are looking to have the complete “Hidden Lane Experience,” I recommend the afternoon tea -which I suggest booking in advance: the gigantic, three-level cake stand is assembled on the spot with both sweet and savoury bites. And don’t forget to try a wee cuppa or, for the warm summer days, a refreshing iced coffee!
