In my childhood, I watched the Disney classic ‘Alice in Wonderland’ numerous times. I particularly loved the two characters, the Mad Hatter and the March Hare, who invite Alice to celebrate her un-birthday with them. I am not under the impression that you have to be celebrating something to visit this spot, but walking in to the Mad Platter on Great Western Road certainly makes you want to!
The setting is colorful, filled with amusing tea party-inspired decorations, and the ambience is on point – it feels like walking straight into Wonderland. This is an excellent spot for a late French-inspired breakfast or lunch, but on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the Mad Platter is also happy to host you for a spectacular dinner experience. Regardless of the hour and day you visit the Mad Platter, you must be aware that it will leave you with a strange urge to drink endless amounts of tea and wear silly hats.
