Cinemas & movie theaters – All our local tips

This – kind of „alternative” – cinema in a backyard in Schanze plays very extra-ordinary movies, and quite often you find the original versions with subtitles. So it’s not only for people with German language skills. Definitely not something you will find quite often in Hamburg as Germans like to synchronise movies!

Don’t expect any Blockbusters or Hollywood-stuff but European, Asian or Latin American movies which are not quite known. On Internet – or in the brochure you will find in many pubs, cafes etc – you can check the motto’s of the month like „ Play it again”, the long-time favourites. They also do special theme days e.g. Latin American movies or Bizarre cinema so there’s a big variety. In March you find movies – played in the original version – from Arabic to Hebrew, from Spanish to Polish! Every nationality should find its happiness!

By the way: 3001 sells now very special DVD’s – so if you wanna see your favourite movie again and again, this is your chance!

I’d like to say to you, how stunning you are. You are perfect to meet friends or strangers or both and it’s like they already know each other. Always you welcomed me with open arms, no matter if I was stressed out or absolutely relaxed, there was a place for me and a smile on your face.

Your drinks are cheap and groovy. Your cosy couches and the yellow-red lamp shades in the back rooms are reminiscent of my grandmother´s warm living room. About the secrets and mystics in your vault, we have to talk next time once more. The rooms are a bit shabby and rustic – but it’s honest! Let’s face it: You are the real Zoë, the authentic Zoë!
