This is a nice Christmas market with lots of small stalls in the shape of gingerbread houses. I like! You cannot just buy the typical Glühwein here (hot red wine with spices) — my favourite Nordish dish called “Grünkohl” (green cabbage that is cooked for a looooong time and is served with salty sausages and mustard). The latter is not recommendable for vegetarians but if you give it a try, they do it very lovely here.
There is lots of handicrafts around so you can buy nice little things for friends and family at home. Don’t forget to ride the merry-go-round. It is kind of vintage and fun and not just for kids! And the smell of roasted almonds is soooo delicious that you can end the day with a pack of them, standing below the big Christmas tree and letting your spirits fly to Santa Claus.
