About me
I moved to Hamburg about seven years ago though I know the city from years before as two of my best friends live here.

Before I got settled in Hamburg (as far as I can be a settled person…) I spent many years abroad, working as a tour guide in Laos, Egypt, Indonesia etc. and travelling on my own through Africa and Asia.

My list of visited places is long, so I am a spoiled person – who ended up to be more than fond of Hamburg!! Well, with a Danish mother it’s maybe the Northern blood running through my veins. Now I am working for a tour operator, organizing tailor-made-tours to exotic and far-away places.

My freetime?! I am into literature, art, phtographing – guess you will either find me reading on my couch in my cosy apartment in St.Pauli, in the cafes or in the galleries, museums and theatres of town.

Why Hamburg?

  • Lively yet cosy! Places of interest are all pretty close, so you can conquer it all by bike
  • So much water!!! And the Elbe River makes you feel that the ocean is not so far!!
  • It’s beautiful and alternative at the same time! The Jugenstil-buildings in Eppendorf and Hohe-Luft, the Hafenstrasse and Karolinenviertel with its painted walls, gloomy and silent Speicherstadt and the busy harbour with its cranes and ships etc etc
  • Friendly and polite people with that sweet northern accent
  • Great place for art, music, theatre but not too excited, vain and eager about it
