Sängerknaben und Sirenen (=choirboys and sirens) has been one of my must-go-appointments over the last few years. It’s a constantly fixed event in my calendar, therefore I just have to tell you about it. Every first Sunday evening of the month (except for July and August), the team opens their doors and a wonderful, relaxed evening is waiting for you. Sängerknaben und Sirenen is a singer/songwriter concert series, simply with the intention to enjoy an evening full of great music by great artists. You will get to see four (usually excellent) singer/songwriters, who will each perform six songs with a short break in between. The entire concert is for free – but a little tip for the artists is highly appreciated.
The concerts take place in the Fabrique (enter the building from the back, from the street Speckstraße) in the wonderful Gängeviertel (check the Gängeviertel article), which is definitely worth a visit as well! Therefore, you will find guests of all ages and kinds – but all of them usually very open-minded and relaxed people who appreciate the music and the personal, intimate atmosphere during the concert.
So, just get a glass of wine, a beer or a lemonade (as everywhere in the Gängeviertel – pay as much as you want and can) and enjoy the music.
