Hola! I am 100% Finnish, but lived in Caribbean for a while and I do miss it every now and then. I miss sitting on a swing drinking frozen margaritas under the Caribbean sun and I especially miss Spanish and the Latin American music.
Then I found Bar Llamas. Everything in the little bar is (or looks like it is) from Mexico: the swings, the beer bottles, the couches, chairs, tables, little baskets etc. They really thought about every single detail when they decorated the place!
On weekdays they serve lunch: either salads or soups. Food is good, staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great! Needless to say; they have an excellent beer and tequila selection. So the place is good for lunch, after work drinks and for drinking more when the sun sets (The good news is that this time of the year it sets around 16:00!)
I got carried away, but seriously: I know you didn’t travel all the way to Finland to visit a Mexican bar, but I think you should, because it is amazing how you can forget the cold and dark outside as soon as you step inside. And if you want to at least drink something Finnish, order Glögi, the mulled wine (that’s very Finnish, yet they serve that too in winter!)
