Bar Kuja was opened in May and is a typical Helsinki place-to-be and definitely a hotspot for locals these days. It’s classy, casual and cozy with a little bit of an artsy vibe coming from the exhibits in the place. Super location, great service and even with a view on the water if you get the best spot in the window corner. Very inviting to stay and hang out!
It is not only a popular spot for lunch but also for drinks and meeting friends in the evenings. Their selection of drinks and food à la carte is fantastic, ranging from salads and burger to crêpes (or both, Pancake Burger) and “Flammkuchen”, anyone will find something delicious here. I like their mash-up of American and French Bistro cuisine, yet they’re not stuck to anything really. If you’re a “Foodie” you should definitely give it a try! By now I have also tried their brunch and hereby officially name Kuja as one of my favourite places.
Special also: each month local artists are given the opportunity to display their pieces in the restaurant, which frequently gives the restaurant a new touch and you get to know Helsinki’s best upcoming painters and photographers!
