The Finnish Museum of Photography is a place where I go about two to four times in a year to see new exhibitions. There are always several exhibitions going at once. Usually I find at least one that I really like!
The Finnish Museum of Photography is actually a perfect spot for winter season. When the weather is bad, and you are not in a hurry to go to explore many places, you have time to explore this one. And sometimes you can have the whole museum to yourself – since during the daytime it’s quite empty – which I consider nice.
The museum is located in the beginning of Kaapelitehdas (red doorway in the picture). If you are planning to visit this museum you might check what else Kaapelitehdas has to offer you during that time. Kaapelitehdas is the complex where museum is located and several other happenings, theathers, exhibitions are presented in this complex.

We were there this Sunday. There was nobody here, and they had to put on the light for us. I really like museums like these when they’re quiet. Very nice exhibitions too at this moment. Tip: check the video that’s playing (free) in the Kaapeelitehdas building next to the cafe!
