I can’t help it, but I’m a “park person”. I don’t know if that term is even real, but I’m using it anyway. I like parks and the peacefulness that’s associated with them. There’s something about slowly walking through a park and watching people pass by. They are good places to stop and think about things.
You could think of Hesperia park as the Central Park of Helsinki. With the exception that it’s a lot smaller and there’s a lot less people living here and using the park for their recreational purposes. And it’s located between the National Opera and Finlandia Hall, both of which might be places of interest to you.
Sure, the winter is here, so the park won’t be as wonderful of an experience during the colder months. It still serves as a great passage from the center of Helsinki to Töölö area and so on. So if you want to take a moment and maybe even feed the ducks at the Töölö bay, which is right next to the park, why not have a relaxed stroll through the park.
