Oh how I love discovering little gems like this one! Töölö is my favourite neighbourhood of the city as it is close to the wonderful west coast, Töölönlahti park area and it is the cultural centre of Helsinki with the Opera and the Finlandia Hall, as well as many art galleries. It is rather quiet around here and usually not the hot spot for new restaurants or bars.
I discovered Linko when I was pushing home my bike (my chain broke, I don’t usually do that for fun) and was intrigued by the happy crowd on the terrace and the delicious smell of fresh pizza.
A few days later I was back with a friend to try out those pizzas, and we were both very impressed by the fresh taste and size (the really need bigger plates for those)! Their selection of food is small but exquisite, they also change their menu frequently. The interior is cozy and comfortable, it is super nice to sit by the large windows and look outside, or chill on the terrace (especially during the evening, when traffic is quiet). Sometimes Linko hosts some live music on the tiny stage, which will go along beautifully with the pizza!
