About me
In our family I am now the 5th generation living in Helsinki city. My daughter is now the 6th generation living in Helsinki city. So I would call myself a true local!
During my life I have traveled a lot. So I love to help others who are visiting Helsinki to really see the true Helsinki and also the history of the this beautiful town.
In my work side I achieved my designer goals at the age of 21. I became dedicated to marketing after that. Soon I realized the true potential lies in digital marketing. I’m still searching the perfect way to market.
When I started as Helsinki Spotter I was a mother and taking care of our daughter at home. Today I am working as campaign planner for online campaigns at Sanoma News private ad exchange.
Today being a Helsinki spotter is my dear hobby and great fun for me!
Why do you love Helsinki?
- Green city in various ways. Nature and sea is part of daily life
- Different vibe during different seasons – I think Helsinki is it at its best during the autumn, summer and middle of cold winter. But not at spring time like most of the European towns!
- Good night life
- Interesting history
- Great summer life and summer happenings
- If Helsinki would be a song it would be The Pet shop boys’ Being Boring, because there is so much to do even the city is not that big.
- Great location to spot other cities like Tallinn, st. Petersburg and Stockholm
- Helsinki is going to be the Europe design capital in 2012
