Töölönlahti means Töölö bay in Finnish and it takes more or less one hour to walk round the Töölö bay. It is also a very popular jogging area. The whole circle is 2.2 km and accessible from the city center, Kaisaniemi-, Kallio- and Töölö districts. Töölö bay park is a very popular place for sunbathing and picnics during summer. You can also discover outside yoga and salsa groups practicing there.
What makes this spot special is that during your walk around the bay you will pass several sights and districts. Main sights are the Finnish National Opera, Finlandia hall, Music hall, Kiasma modern art museum, Helsinki Winter Garden and the Linnunlaulu villas area. You’ll also walk close to Helsinki Railway Station and tracks.
My favorite is to go to Töölö bay during the evening when the buildings are illuminated beautifully. During summer there is also a fountain in the middle of the bay and the surface of the water looks mesmerizing when the lights reflect on it.
