Tucked away in one of the main streets in Helsinki’s Punavuori district, there is a new gem of a little Vietnamese place. Vietnamese food is my favourite thing in life and for many years there weren’t many options at all, but with little places like these, Helsinki has finally heard the call.
Over the last summers, one of my go-to lunch options was grabbing a Banh-Mi sandwich from the Vibami food truck that was doing its rounds in the city, and it was just absolute perfection for a quick bite to take to the park or the beach.
Imagine my delight when they opened a full-on restaurant in the heart of Helsinki, where I could get my fix of deliciousness all year round. The location is the cutest ever, tucked away in a backyard and only having so little space, you’d better consider coming outside of the peak hours just to be sure you get a seat.
I definitely recommend the lemongrass chicken. Options for vegetarians are also available.
