One of my neighborhood favorites Art Cafe is a boutique patisserie. I visit there at least once a week to buy sweet and salty treats and on special occasions for their beautifully designed birthday cakes as well as delicious quiches. Art Cafe has another branch on the European side in Levent.
There is one specific taste that I consistently recommend: Pinoli. Pinoli is a flourless and butterless dessert (like all other desserts by Art Cafe) made of almond, hazelnut meringue, seasonal fruits and pastry cream. The crunchy meringue is to die for and the cream melts in your mouth. You may question how a dessert without flour and butter can be tastier than regular ones. That is Art Cafe’s secret.
I also love Art Cafe’s quiches offered in five different types; with spinach, artichoke, eggplant, ham or cheese. Their small chocolate meringues, caramel brownies and apple pie are really good too. For special occasions, they can design the cake from your imagination and make you feel like a child.
You can choose what you want from the counter and takeaway or eat there. Art Cafe’s Levent branch serves salads, sandwiches, penne and Russian dish Pirozhki all day. The real deal, however, are the desserts and especially Pinoli.
