On my birthday, we do not buy a cake and celebrate at home. And we also do not go somewhere at night. We wake up early and go for breakfast! Two weeks before my birthday, we started to search for the next breakfast place. After a really long competition, Privato Cafe won! So we made a reservation on Sunday for 10 people, let the show begin! You can go without a reservation for 2-3 people if you can wait a while.
It was “literally” the best breakfast I’ve ever had.
The cafe owner first served us fresh black tea, once everyone had arrived many many little plates filled our big table. Strawberry, grape, kiwi, quince jams; so many traditional cheeses, olives, sauces… While we were eating them, the owner came and put some more plates on the other plates. There were pancakes (with cheese or sugar), patty (2 or 3 kinds), fried bread with egg… And other girl came to put more on the table… Omelettes, menemen (our traditional scrambled eggs with vegetables) and of course sucuk (traditional sausage)
We were completely full but there is only one thing left. A Turkish coffee…
After this breakfast, we walked for about 3 km :). We must be fit and hungry enough to eat again.
