Kabaret is a place which reminds me of French old fashioned Cabaret clubs. I guess this may have been the intention of the owners. Any time I come here, I recall a nice club in Paris – Comptoir General – and whoever has been there will definitely know what I’m talking about.
The entrance to Kabaret is hidden in the courtyard – if you don’t know that this place is exactly there, you may not find it. However, if you do, you won’t regret it. The structure of Kabaret club is unique; this is the only place I know with such a nice mezzanine where you can climb up and watch all the shows from.
This is a nice spot to have beer or any non-alcoholic drink with a friend, but also to… dance. There is something going on here almost every evening. There are Tango evenings for tango fans, there are Polish retro evenings almost every Friday, where Polish music from 20s and 30s is played live and typical Polish snacks are served (entrance fee is usually required).
Also – this is probably the only spot in Krakow where drag queens shows are organized. All the details about events organized by the club can be found on their facebook profile. I recommend checking the agenda before coming. This way, you won’t miss anything!
