Overhelmed by Polish spoken on every corner?
Here I’ve got a place for you where you can slow down and enjoy the fact of being encircled by thousands of books – barely finding some in other language than English.
‘Massolit Books&Cafe’ is an American bookstore and a cosy cafeteria at once.
Here you can find books that asking for in another shops would have caused wonder and bewilderment. All divided into categories – including classics, science, children books etc.. Besides you can find some volumes in another languages like french or spanish – but the quantity of it is uncomparable to the number of those in the language of Shakespeare.
But for me the best thing is that you’ve got total freedom while wandering around the space of ‘Massolit’. You can choose one of the books and sit down for hours reading it in a corner. You don’t have to buy any volume to read it tranquilly.
Other than that – in the cafeteria you can enjoy your breakfest or lunch. Maybe there’s not that lot to choose from, but all they’ve got is homemade and really tasty. I love their carrot cake!
Besides that they’re really active – organizing some lectures, screenings, meetings. Also regarding English speakers.
The staff speak English of course – for you not to be confused.
Remember that there’re another hidden room in the back – that’s tricky.

100% true! As long as you wake up on time to leave before they close
(That’d be great to spend a night in this inspiring land though!)
Nights there aren’t special (unless it happens to be a party), but mornings are enchantingly tranquil and lazy (or lazifyingly enchanting – whichever you prefer
)
Right! Morning coffee + a morning book!
Very nice bookstore. They even let you take a refreshing nap on one of their sofas
