I remember when Massolit Bakery & Cafe was opened. The interior is tiny and has only a few places to sit at the bar type of table, placed by the huge shop window. Despite the lack of space, this spot was a real magnet – everyone wanted to have a photo taken while sitting by the window and sipping coffee.

Today this spot is not on everyone’s lips anymore, but every time I pass it by, it’s full of people. Some buy bread and cakes, and some order takeaway lunches. Often you have to wait a moment for the place to sit, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Dogs with their owners are welcome there too!

Massolit Bakery & Cafe is famous for their vegan croissants, minimal decor and a variety of bagels to choose from. They bake everything on the spot so you can feel the scent of fresh pastry even before you enter the restaurant. The lunch offer changes daily, but you can always choose to eat a set of soup and a main dish or to order just one of the options. They’re made from high-quality ingredients and the taste is just delicious. Last time I tried a pumpkin creme soup made with coconut milk – a real masterpiece. The offer changes daily.

Another strong point of Massolit Bakery & Cafe: the pastries. It’s hard to say what prevails in their American-style pies & layered cakes: the pretty aesthetics or the delicious flavour?
