Appearances can be deceiving.
If you saw this sausage stand you’d probably not give it a second look and you’d certainly not stop to buy anything. You would have walked right past and missed the opportunity to taste the best sausages in town. That’s the thing with street food, it often looks shady but it’s usually great.
The men who prepare your sausage use a wood burning grill and that’s what makes it so flavourful. The bread rolls are always fresh and crunchy. It’s simple, it’s fast, it’s convenient and it’s open when everything else is not.
If you stop by after a long night of partying, don’t be surprised to find a line. Local night owls often frequent this “establishment”; from students on a budget to politicians and celebrities, no one can resist these sausages!
There’s plenty of spaces to park in case you drive. You can eat in your car or share one of the stand-up tables. Bring your own drink to wash it all down. Napkins not provided.

I think this is THE place to get a late snack. There is nothing particularly special about the Kielbasa or the buns, but the kb is tasty enough and the buns aren’t stale. I think it’s the late night air that gives it that special taste.
Where in Hala Targowa is the van located? Is it easy to find?
It’s really easy to find! They are parked on the sidewalk right in front of the stalls on Hala Targowa (on the right side of GrzegĂłrzecka Street if you’re walking from the Main Square area).
It really is the best. Great on a cold winter night, my local takeaway!
