Stary Kleparz Market – One stop shop

The products, the shop owners and the overall atmosphere make this market one of the best places to do your shopping.

Stary Kleparz has been in business since the XII century so it’s safe to say that it’s legendary. Although the Market is outside, all the stalls are covered so, despite being a little chilly in the winter, once you go past the entryway no rain or snow will come between you and fresh, local products.

Many of the stall owners sell fruits and vegetables they grew themselves (buy seasonal products to ensure freshness). They’re proud of their harvest and many will not hesitate to let you try before you buy. They call it “locking the customer in” because, once you sample, very often you end up buying more than you’ve originally planned!

The market changes seasonally. Easter items are slowly becoming available for sale alongside the usual nick knacks.

Other than fruits and veggies, the market offers fresh bread, cheese, meat, mushrooms, seeds, herbs, clothes, shoes, baby strollers, tools, telephones, toys, flowers, fish, umbrellas…I think you get the picture.
