When you are tired of the conventional pedestrian way of visiting Krakow, just rent a bike and go on a trip along the Wisła River following the marked bike road along the Wisla river’s boulevards.
The best spot to start your trip is on the water level near the Ofiar Dąbia bridge, which is the beginning of the first boulevard – Kurlandzki Boulevard. Then follow the Podgórska street close to the Galeria Kazimierz. The road leads you along the Amber Road – the ancient trade route for the transfer of amber from Europe to Asia. The last boulevard reached is called Rodla and is located near the River Rodava estuary. The total route is about 6 km. If you are a fan of bike rides you can cycle around 12 km more and reach a small town next to Krakow, named Tyniec.
The route is very easy and so beautiful. Thus it is a perfect idea for an all day trip with friends or even a date
. A cool and peaceful route that doesn’t require much effort. The route leads along the river, to a large extent on the shoulder, along the convenient asphalt path. This allows you to enjoy both the river and surrounding countryside.
It is better to take it during the week since on the weekend the track is quite crowded.
