If you come to Lisbon, you will certainly want to buy the ideal souvenir. But I believe that we are all already a bit tired of the traditional magnet for the refrigerator. If you also think so, then A Loja, Lisboa is the answer to your prayers.
Gabrielle, the owner, originally from France, has created a lively and imaginative concept. Her shop is like no other. Located opposite São Cristóvão church at the start of Costa do Castelo, on the edge of Mouraria, in this shop she’s mixed small decorative pieces, especially crockery, vintage items and other kinds of art and craft curiosities.
In the A Loja you can also find some religious items, such as pictures of saints or the Virgin Mary. Gabrielle has a distinctive style and just staring through the window of the shop is an experience of good taste itself.
I was lost in love for some miniature soaps that portray the Portuguese tiles. Not only are they original, they have a super nice smell and they make me think “smells good, smells like Lisbon”.
