Great concept but unfortunately, like everything that is trendy in Lisbon: tremendously expensive and little food!

Pulizia eccellente.
Consigliatissimo!!!
P.S. Noi ci si torna anche stasera (30 dicembre 2011)...

You could also mention that right across is a very old but still operating Hospital with a Church attached.
At the Kiosk I always drink one or two Sagres Beer.
Thanks,
Wolfgang Decker

We were at Charcuteria Francesa in October 2011 and can only agree with Erik: Food, service and location were great. We had the delicious buffet for little less than 10 Euro and a great red wine the waiter had recommended. Unfortunately we forgot to ask what wine it was - but definitely the best one we had in the whole 6 days.

We dined at Chiado No on three occasions. It was a great spot to people watch and just relax. Often there are free concerts outside the theatre. The menu was diversified for lunch and dinner, with either light and full fare entrees. We enjoyed the staff's friendliness, the delcious food and creative desserts. A wonderful little spot tucked away off the rue Garret to feast away and kick back.

Not to be missed! We stopped by here after doing some research in NYC and then found it again on Spotted By Locals. We bought two of the most wonderful candles. Though most of the candles are free standing or made to go in holders, we purchased the ones in glass containers, one earthy woodsy, and one floral. They are amazing and compared to other companies - Diptique, Labo (sp) - they are pretty inexpensive at 17€ a pop. Plus you are not going to find better service or people who are willing to go out of their way to show you any and everything that might interest you in the tiny little old world shop. Literally old world - I think it's been around since 1790 and they were the first company in Portugal to make candles in colors aside from naturally occurring colors of beeswax... They made red for an experimental Hungarian composer for a concert he was giving in Lisbon about a hundred years ago and change.

Another winner from S.B.L.
Really great view and outside seating - We had no reservations so couldn't sit inside on a busy Saturday, which was fine. The place it's self was quirky, glamorous, really austere but with a sharp edge. Our server was adorably self-aware and informally helped us through the menu as if he were eating with us. If this sounds at all unprofessional (it was not) there appeared to be a cat eye bespectacled hip lady at the help running this overflowing ship with a firm sense of service and a strong hold on how her staff was performing. This was a really fun restaurant I can't remember what we ate. It was all super delicious and we lounged around for a second bottle of wine on the lawn in the sun. Probably why I can't remember what we ate :)
