One of the most stunning sightseeing spots of the city was being wasted as parking space. And when it was transformed into a bar, it became a success overnight – last summer’s trendy bar.
It might be tough to find this place as you have to go inside EMEL’s parking building and go up to the 7th floor (there’s an elevator that takes you up to the 6th).
Sure, it may have some flaws, like the poor lighting, but that can be avoided by going there before the sunset. Yes! This terrace is the perfect place to sit and sip a fresh drink while listening to some jazz in the background. Here, you can feel the last beams of sunlight and enjoy a great view over the city.
If you’re feeling hungry, order yourself a hamburger. They are served in small antique copper pans with some homemade chips and an optional fried egg on top.
When the night settles, this terrace resembles a nightclub. A swarm of people invades the whole space and it takes a long time to order a drink or food. My proposal: go there to relax before dinner, then try some local cuisine at Príncipe do Calhariz and finally head up for a drink in Bairro Alto.
